How to Get Three Meals Out of One Pastured Chicken

Feeding your family healthy foods can be quite a challenge at times! Especially when you're living on one income. Believe me, I know how it is, with having 11 kids to feed!

Or maybe you've never had a whole chicken on your hands before!

Soo, I would like to show you how to cut up your pastured chicken, (or chickens) so that you can get more than one meal out of one chicken and save $$$$.

Whoa! You may think, this is not for me!Cutting up a raw chicken? Not me! Well, maybe your husband would:)...as my husband so kindly does for me when I'm squeamish about something.

But really, its not that hard and actually doesn't take long!

What you need is a good, sharp knife, a pot, crock pot,or instant pot to throw the bony parts in. A clean surface and of course, a chicken!

What we'll be cutting off is the wings, drumsticks, thighs, and then we'll also cut out the breasts. What we'll have left is the carcass, which we'll throw in the pot to cook to make some rich, nourishing broth.

You can either freeze your parts for later use or have chicken dinners a few nights in a row.

The broth is another $$ stretcher. You can make chicken and rice, casseroles or soups with it or simply drink it straight. Its really healthy for you!

Not only does this save you money, you also have the satisfaction of knowing you're feeding your family the best!

Sooo, take a look!
